Bioengineering in agriculture for development

Bioengineering is a branch of Engineering that incorporates Biology into its cycle of design, modeling, implementation and validation for the solution of complex problems. Importantly, one of those challenges that requires an interdisciplinary approach to solve is agriculture. Numerous examples of how engineering can provide tools to improve your development range from a wide range of monitoring methods and/or strategies to the generation of specific novel devices. Thanks to the alliance between UTEC and CIP and the organization of the Bioengineering Research Center – BIO of UTEC, with the support of our brand Go-alliances, we launched the first on-line Seminar on bioengineering and agriculture, which marks a important milestone in the new conception of the need to have a multi, inter and transdisciplinary vision in solving complex problems for this important area in our country.
