Bioengineering students are part of the Global Community Bio Fellows, an initiative born in the MIT Media Lab

We congratulate Nathaly Dongo Mendoza, from the eighth cycle, and Diego Muñoz Neira, from the tenth cycle, from the Bioengineering career, who will participate in the prestigious Bio Fellows Program of the Global Community BioSummit, an initiative that was born in the MIT Media Lab. selected for their prior experiences in social and environmental responsibility, research, and extracurricular activities in synthetic biology and biotechnology competitions. In addition, they have participated and contributed to the organization of this year’s Global Community Bio Summit 5.0 event.

Since 2017, the Bio Fellows Program of the Global Community Bio Summit is organized every year. Community Bio is a movement whose objective is to provide a space for people from all over the world, involved in Do It Yourself or DIY scientific movements, biohackers, biomakers, members and leaders of academic and community biotechnology laboratories.
